Refund & Returns Policy
1. Overview
At Mad Arab Industries, we’ve got a blanket – No Dickheads policy – we will always strive to provide an excellent product, a fun user experience and treat you just like one of our mates – but if you’re a dickhead, we will not so politely point you to one of our competitors and say goodbye.
Along with our No Dickhead Policy, we’ve got high standards – higher than Simon Cowell crossed with Uncle Roger when fried rice is involved.
If you receive a defective or otherwise unsatisfactory product, we are obviously bound by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).
But we also want to make sure you have an absolutely awesome time with our company and our products.
This policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding refunds and returns.
By ordering product from us, you agreed to the following terms:
TLDR version: If you’re unhappy with your order – get in touch ASAP and we’ll do our best to fix your problem – if you’re being an unreasonable Karen, we’ll tell you to piss off.
2. Returns Eligibility
We accept returns of products if your order
- Arrived defective or damaged or incorrect.
- Do not meet the acceptable quality standards under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).
We do not accept returns for:
- Change of mind – we will accept exchanges for beard oils bought as gifts -ONLY IF – the seal on the return bottle hasn’t been broken and you will cover the cost of return shipping.
- Incorrect purchases
- Personal preference regarding scent, texture, or performance – once opened unless it’s defective we are not bound to honour a refund.
- Products that have been used extensively – if you went to a restaurant and ordered something, ate the whole thing then demanded a refund, you’d be a total dickhead right?
3. How to Request a Return
If you believe you are entitled to a return due to the above reasons, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us within 7 days of receiving the item by emailing [your contact email] with:
- Your order number.
- A description of the issue.
- Clear photos of the defective product.
- Assessment: We will review your request and respond within 3 business days. If the issue is confirmed as a defect, we will provide further instructions for returning the item.
- Return Shipping:
- If the return is approved, we will provide a return shipping address.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as we are not responsible for lost returns.
4. Refunds & Replacements
Once we receive and inspect the returned item:
- If the defect is confirmed, you can choose a replacement or full refund (including shipping costs if applicable).
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5 business days.
If the item does not meet our defective product criteria, it will be returned to you at your expense.
5. Consumer Rights
This policy does not override your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which protects you when purchasing goods that are faulty, unsafe, or do not meet reasonable expectations.
